Yao Ming, Chairman

An 8-time NBA All-Star team member and member of Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, YAO Ming has brought his professional basketball career success on the court to a fruitfull post-NBA business activities off the court. Since his retirement in 2012, he has transformed himself from an NBA superstar to a successful investor and philanthropist. As the symbol of China's sports industry, YAO continues to expand his influence by serving as an "ambassador" for China in international sports arena. He was member of winning campaign for China's hosting for 2022 Winter Olympics Games and 2019 Basketball World Cup Tournament. 

David Han, CEO & Managing Partner

Mr. Han has 14 years of investment experience. Before co-founding Yao Capital, Mr. Han was the Chief Investment Officer of Wanda Group, responsible for several landmark deals in the sports industry, including the buy-out of Infront Sports & Media and World Triathlon Corporation, and investment in LeSports. Previously, Mr. Han was a Managing Director of The Carlyle Group, responsible for the landmark buy-out of Cloudary Corporation. Mr. Han received his B.S degree from Tsinghua University and his MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business

Erik Zhang, Vice Chairman & Managing Partner

As Yao' s long-time business partner, Mr. Zhang helped Yao’s transition to NBA 14 years ago and has managed Yao' s business portfolio since then. As a veteran sport industry operator, Mr. Zhang brings industry insight, strategic resources, and management know-how that could be valuable to companies Yao Capital will invest in. Similar to Yao, Mr. Zhang is also well known in international sports circle. Mr. Zhang received his B.S degree from University of Wisconsin and studied in the MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business

Hong Quan, CFO and Managing Partner

17 years of experience with global financial institutions and investment organizations in China. Mr. Quan was a partner at Concord Private Equity Fund and CDBI Fund of Fund responsible for investment strategy, risk control and fund operations. Previously, Mr. Quan was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan, responsible for Chinese companies cross-border M&A and overseas financing activities. Mr. Quan received his B.S degree from Lycoming College and his MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business

Will Zhu, Managing Partner

15 years of experiences in private equity, M&A and corporate finance. Mr. Zhu was an Executive Director with Fosun Group where he led investment deals of Adin Media, LeSports and Infront Sports and Media. Previously, Mr. Zhu was a Vice President with CITIC PE, responsible for the landmark buy-out of leading German equipment manufacturer Putzmeister. Previously, Mr. Zhu was an associate with Hony Capital. Mr. Zhu received his B.S degree from Wuhan University and his MBA degree from University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross school of business

Shi Wang

Shi Wang, Founder and Chairman of China Vanke, "The Most Influential 25 Business Leaders in China" by Fortune magazine. Mr. Wang is also the President of the Asian Rowing Federation. As an amateur for the mountaineering sport, Mr. Wang keeps the China record to this date for the most senior age to each Mt. Everest. He also successfully completed the feats of scaling the highest peaks of the seven continents and traversing the South Pole and the North Pole respectively in 2004 and 2005

Yang Yang

Yang Yang, one of the most accomplished short track speed skaters of all time having won 59 world titles, including six Overall World Championships. She is the first person to have won six Overall World Titles and won six consecutively. She is currently an IOC member and a committee member of the World Anti-Doping Agency, and founding member of the Chinese Athlete Education Foundation

He was the founding president of Google China, and former corporative Vice President of Microsoft Corporation.
